When you arrive at Allerton House, you are met with a warm welcome by your hosts, Christopher and Carol Longden. A complementary glass of port & sherry is on offer in the Macallan lounge where the warmth of a traditional log fire greets you on a cold day. The Macallan Lounge is also where you can find a film to watch in our
extensive DVD library or just relax reading the daily papers or a book from our library.
Allerton House has six spacious, uniquely furnished bedrooms, each with its own character. All rooms have the following facilties and little extra touches - digital television with over 15 channels and DVD/CD player, Ipod docking station, alarm clock radio, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, mini bars, a hot drink selection and a fresh fruit plate. All the en-suite, newly refurbished bathrooms have luxurious Egyptian cotton towels and Neutrogena toiletries for you to enjoy.

* Queen Mary Suite - a king size 4-poster double bed with seating area and beautiful views of the garden
* Castle Suite - a french pine king size double bed is accompanied by a comfy sofa and great views
* The Capon - consists of one room with full size twin beds and a separate room off with full size bunk beds, ideal for families or walking/cycling groups. Both rooms are equipped with digital tv and dvd.
* The Jed Room - A superior single room with full size single bed which has just been fully refurbished. It has a beautifully tiled ensuite bathroom with modern walk-in sports shower and all other in room facilities.
* The Fernihurst Room - lots of room with seating area and king size double bed
* The Abbey Room - located on the ground floor with full size twin beds, very spacious and meeting all disability requirements
In accordance with Scottish legislation, Allerton House is now completely non-smoking. Due to the allergies of some of our customers, we do not accept pets inside of Allerton House.
Coming Soon - A detached stable flat on the grounds of Allerton House! The Luxury Courtyard Suite, a self-catering unit, meets all disability requirements and is pet friendly. It will be available for let in 2009.
